My Breastie, My Chosen Family
Mickie (my BFF) and I were asked to interview each other on cam for a campaign to normalize asking for support when one is going through a challenging health diagnosis last April. She is my chosen family here in San Diego and I'm extremely grateful to have her and her family by my side as I navigate breast cancer all these years. I hope this intimate video of our story as BFFs will inspire you to ask for support or help when the going gets tough.

Since I work at the public library, mahilig ako magbasa to help myself cope with my health diagnosis as well as the mental distress that comes with it. I recommend reading these 4 books para sa mga patuloy ang paglaban sa cancer at lumakas ang loob nyo to keep on winning! I hope makatulong sa Inyo. :)

A million thanks to God, R.I.P Ms. Jaymee Joaquin. Madalas po ako dati sa GUL, sa totoo lang po naiinis ako dun sa programa nyo dahil parang puro sa mga masasayang tao yun at walang problema. Pero natatapat po ako lagi doon kasi walang mapagpipilian. Pero nalungkot po ako sa iyong pagkawala kasi nakikita ko din po yung sarili ko sayo na nakikibagay ka sa paligid. Ganun pa man po eh tuloy pa rin po ang digmaan dito at naririnig po kita. Siguro po dahil yun sa pagbababad ko sa programa ninyo, "Programme Syndrome" so yun nga po pareho din po pala, na programa din po pala ako. Masaya po ako na nakita kita na nagsasalita bilang malayang tao. Nakakapagod po kasi ikaw tingnan noon. Wala na po ako'ng ibang masasabi kundi maganda ka po. Muli ay paalam na po.
